How to Report Emergencies

Dial 911

Stay calm and speak clearly.

Tell the dispatcher what the emergency is.

The location of the emergency and the nearest crossroad.

A phone number the dispatcher can call you back if the line is
disconnected.

Listen closely to the dispatcher’s instructions. Do not hang the phone
up.
The dispatcher may ask you questions to verify the information you
gave them. This is very important with the number of cell phones and
broadband phones.
